ESE 521: Grades K-12

Mondays 6:30-7:15pm (9/19/22-12/12/22)
Instructor: Prof. Todd Bluffestone

ESE 521 serves learners in grades Kindergarten through 12 by pairing with tutors with tutees to conduct comprehensive academic assessments and then help with student-provided homework. This course will meet in-person on Mondays from 6:30-7:15 pm. Tutors will provide a comprehensive academic assessment and also help tutees with their homework. Please note the starting date of 9/19/22 and ending date of 12/12/22. Please plan to attend every session and notify the center in advance of absence.

EDL 503: Grades K-8

Mondays 5:00-6:00pm (9/26/22-11/14/22)
Instructor: Dr. Heidi Rock

EDL 503 serves learners in grades K through 8 by pairing with tutors in literacy. This course will meet in-person on Monday from 5 - 6 pm. Tutors and tutees will work on literacy assessments to assist in determining literacy strengths and challenges. Please note the starting date of September 26, 2022 and end on November 14, 2022. Please plan to attend every session and notify the center in advance of absence.

EDL 311/511: Grades K-5

Mondays 5:00-6:00pm (10/3/22-11/28/22)
Instructor: Dr. Laura Northrop

EDL 311/511 serves learners in grades K -5 by pairing with tutors in literacy. This course will meet in-person on Monday from 5:00-6:00pm. Tutors and tutees will work on all aspects of literacy: phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing. Tutors and tutees will work on literacy skills that would assist them according to their grade levels. Please note the starting date of October 3rd and ending date of November 28th (there will be no tutoring on Monday October 31 due to Halloween). Please plan to attend every session and notify the center in advance of absence.

ESE 515: Grades Pre-K -3

Wednesdays 5:00-6:30pm (10/5/22-11/2/22)
Instructor: Prof. Mary Pultz

ESE 515 serves learners in grades Pre-K through 3 classes specifically to students who have a special education and/or at-risk status. This course will meet in person on Wednesday's. CSU students will work with students from 5:00-6:30pm. Tutors and tutees will work on assessments and suggestions for assisting students.
