Sport Management M.Ed.

It is important to note that graduates of both programs will acquire the required skills, knowledge and hands-on experience needed to begin a successful career in various sport entities, including professional sport leagues, athletic departments, recreation and health-fitness centers.

Important Information For Current Students With Fall 2022 Catalog Rights:

The M.Ed. degree in Sport Management will be modified in the future as part of the Monte Ahuja College of Business. However, if you are a Cleveland State University student, you may opt to complete your M.Ed. degree in Sport Management.

Curriculum/Courses - M.E.d. in Sport Management:

The M.Ed. in Sport Management program consists of a minimum of thirty-three credit hours beyond the baccalaureate degree. The degree is divided into College Core Courses, Required Courses and Electives.

The Sport Management Program is in the process of moving to the Monte Ahuja College of Business. The College is currently working to develop and refine graduate level business curriculum within the Sport and Entertainment industries, therefore, we cannot provide exact information at this time.

The faculty anticipate a Fall 2023 announcement of a stand-alone graduate degree entitled the Master of Sport and Entertainment Management, as well as a Sport and Entertainment Management specialization within the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program.
