About the Program:

This exhibit shows the development of representative projects sites from the First Round of Re-imagining Cleveland.  It presents the transformation of parcels of vacant and abandoned land into gardens, pocket parks, orchards and vineyards.  The images show gardening from the viewpoint of gardeners in order to highlight the extent to which they represent local aesthetic practice or grounded civic art.

To underline the contributions gardens are making to the re-emergence of Cleveland’s infrastructure, contemporary Re-imagining Cleveland gardens are shown in conjunction with historical images of local school and community gardens from the early 20th century.
