Our society is entering uncharted territory for many aspects of daily life. Amid growing concerns about our health and wellbeing, many Americans are concerned about job security and the future. After experiencing the longest economic expansion in U.S. history, we are now threatened by the uncertainty of a global health and economic crisis.

Employers, big and small, in every sector of the economy have been forced to make difficult decisions the past few weeks. As the situation progresses, more challenging choices may likely arise. Many people might lose their jobs, and the most affected could be those that are already economically vulnerable.

In this time of confusion and uneasiness, we would like to assure regional stakeholders that the Center for Economic Development within the Maxine Goodman Levin School of Urban Affairs at Cleveland State University is here to help.

We are following campus guidelines to work remotely from home. Still, our staff is ready to help wherever needed via phone calls and video conferences. We invite employers, regional development agencies, and local governments to contact us if you need assistance. We can help with data collection, grant applications, business and resident surveys, and overall economic development strategy.
