Robert J. Ziol
Director, Ohio Certified Public Manager Program
Director, Center for Public & Nonprofit Management
A graduate of The Ohio State University (BA) and Cleveland State University (MPA), Rob has been affiliated with the School of Urban Affairs for the past 12 years in various roles including Graduate Assistant, Center Manager, and Director of Student Internships & Mentoring. Rob collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to identify experiential learning opportunities for the School. In addition to program management, Rob also provides project advising, small group facilitation, and strategic planning retreats for many public sector organizations across Northeast Ohio. He is also the lead facilitator for the LeanOhio Boot Camp program sponsored by the State of Ohio. Rob is active at the national level of the Certified Public Manager® Program. Currently, he sits on the marketing task force and executive board, and previously served as a reaccreditation committee chair.
Alexandra E. Higl-Timms
Program Manager, Center for Public & Nonprofit Management
Alexandra Higl-Timms currently oversees student enrichment initiatives (i.e. internships, mentoring, and fellowships), women’s leadership programs, and assists with the operation of the Ohio Certified Public Manager® Program. She also manages the Center’s communications, social media, and marketing efforts. Alexandra graduated from John Carroll University (BA) studying journalism and media writing and from Cleveland State University (MPA) studying public administration and nonprofit management. Alexandra is active at the national level of the Certified Public Manager® Program. She currently sits on the marketing task force, and has previously served as a reaccreditation committee member. Alexandra is also a proud graduate of the Ohio Certified Public Manager® Program.
Administrative Coordinator, Center for Public & Nonprofit Management & Center for Emergency Preparedness
Nina is an Administrative Coordinator for the Center of Nonprofit and Public Management and the Center for Emergency Preparedness. She is responsible for program registrations, instructor contracts, third party billings, collecting and depositing payments, tracking grant expenditures, coordinating classes and materials, compiling course evaluations and summaries and other office management duties. She previously worked in the Office of the Dean of the School of urban affairs performing a variety of administrative, fiscal, and planning activities. She also serves as the School’s alternate Human Resources Liaison. Nina begin her career at Cleveland State University 23 years ago as a Course Coordinator in the Division of Continuing Education. Prior to coming to CSU, Nina worked at BP Oil Company for 18 years as a Procurement Coordinator.
Graduate Assistant, Center for Public & Nonprofit Management
Ameera is the graduate assistant for the Center for Public and Nonprofit Management. She has worked with the Center for over 2 years as both the student assistant and graduate assistant. She currently assists the Center with their student enrichment and professional development programs. Prior to becoming the Center's GA, she was an undergrad at CSU studying Organizational Leadership, graduating in 2020. During her last year of undergrad, she worked at the Center as the student assistant, assisting with marketing activities, program administration, community outreach, and more. As well as working as the Center's GA, she has also been working as the site strategies intern for regional economic development agency Team NEO for the past year. Ameera plans to graduate with her master's in 2022 and use her passion for public administration to continue to help bridge the gap between communities throughout Northeast Ohio.
